I'd like to swap out plus/minus for overall points. Plus/minus sucks, and its somewhat annoying having a 9g 25a week and end up tied by an opponent who went 10g 10a.

I like the total saves idea.

Don't really care about expansion, I'm not really a fan of watering down the talent level too far.

I don't mind expanding the rosters but again I'm not really in favor of watered down rosters so I wouldn't vote in favor of expanding too deeply.

I do agree with Luc that there isn't a lot that really needs changing, just a few tweaks here and there.

I kinda like having +/-. To me, if you're removing +/- then you should remove PPP too. Why is a point scored on the power play more important than a point scored at even strength? It's not - and +/- creates a balance there. Remove +/- and you've now swung the balance of production so that it favours PP specialists.

I wouldn't mind removing it, but if we do that, I'd like it to be part of a more major overhaul. Remove +/- and PPP. Add total points, and add another non-scoring metric (or maybe 2) like maybe add takeaways and/or hits. And as always, keep the ratio roughly consistent (7:3 skaters to goalies is good, and I don't want to drop beyond 2:1).

Also considering we want to raise value of players in this game, I wouldn't recommend taking statistics away.

I feel like we've discussed this before, but blocks have the exact same issue. Game-to-game hits may be inconsistentt, but they are predictable over the course of a season.

Crosby was 437th in shots blocked, but 247th in hits. Hits aren't stupid, your argument is.

I'd be ok with that, I really dislike +/-, I think its a wildly erratic stat that doesn't really reflect any sort of skill or individual accomplishment. I don't have any real attachment to PPP's, I think its a good stat if we're about skill and offense but it's really a tertiary stat behind G's/A's and Pts IMO. I wouldn't have any problem substituting it out in favor of another stat, provided it added a "balance" to the scoring. It's not really easy to find substantive stats once you get past what we already have.

+/- is the same as wins. It's largely a team stat.
