Reid's a local kid from where I live. Kid's got a great attitude and a heck of a player. I'm still surprised he slipped through 3 drafts up in P.A. (played a few years with our boy Drai). He's absolutely shredding the playoffs apart after coming back to the dub after the deadline.

Kind of ridiculous to look at what is an amazing playoffs that Reid is having, then remembering what McDavid did in his draft year playoffs.

Jadon Joseph broke a 1-1 tie at 13:54 of the 2nd and Lethbridge rode the 28 save effort by Stuart Skinner in a 3-1 win by the Hurricanes, who take a 2-1 series lead. Brennan Menell and Egor Babenko got the other Canes goals while Dawson Leedahl netted Regina's lone goal.

Keegan Kolesar scored both of Seattle's goals, including the winner with 20 seconds left in the third, to lead the Thunderbirds to a 2-1 win over Kelowna. Calvin Thurkauf had tied the game on a disputed goal earlier in the third. A shot bounced off the back glass, bounced again off the top of the net and Thurkauf batted it in with what appeared to be a high stick. T-Birds were badly out shot 35-14, partly fuelled by 7 Kelowna PPs compared to Seattle's one. Carl Stankowski was huge, making 34 saves, while Michael Herringer got burned again, making only 12 saves.

Ethan Bear was held pointless, was +1 and took a hooking call.

Yeah, I think he'll go in the first 2 rounds.

I'd definitely consider a mid to late 2nd rounder on him.

I should mention that Bear took a shot with about 5 minutes left in last night's game. It may have been around the mid-section of the body, possibly an arm. He didn't return for the rest of the game. Haven't seen anything on whether it was serious or not.

And then there was one.

Seven different players scored for Mississauga as they trounced Peterborough 7-0 and sweep the East final. Dylan Wells had his GAA and save % take a beating as he stopped 24 of 31 shots in the loss. Wells may have been pulled earlier in the game but backup Scott Smith got hit by a puck on the bench and was taken to the dressing room. Smith did come back but he was probably not in the best of shape to play.

Regina evens their series with Lethbridge at 2-2 by thumping the Hurricanes 6-2. Adam Brooks and Dawson Leedahl scored in a 70 second span late in the second to break open a 2-2 tie.

Nice! best outcome. Saginaw wasnt really the best environment. Plus this means we have till 2020 to sign him to an ELC. So an extra 2 years to see how he does over there before deciding whether to sign

Well, listening to the Kelowna broadcast, Regan Bartel said that Bear is in the pre-game skate but can barely hang on to the stick. It may be a broken knuckle or finger, so it looks doubtful, but we'll have to see if he's on the bench for the game.

Dawson Leedahl's goal at 6:25 of the third period snapped a 3-3 tie and led Regina to a 5-3 win over Lethbridge and a 3-2 series lead.Josh Mahura, Sam Steel, Philip Ahl and Austin Wagner also scored for the Pats while Josh Tarzwell, Ryan Vandervils and Egor Babenko got the Cane's goals. Tyler Brown got the win with 29 saves while Stuart Skinner stopped 26 of 30 shots in defeat.

You still gotta be careful though. I broke my finger back in August and it was a surprisingly brutal recovery.
