Campbell had a 7 million dollar cap hit! Sharp and Seabrook got new deals and more money in 2012! It was impossible to keep Campbell and keep the core together. Its hard cap!

That deal was more about the future years (right now) than it was about the 2011-12 team. Of course it was a step backwards, but it was VERY necessary.

2011-12 was not lost because they traded Campbell. Seabrook went from 3.5 million to 5.8 from 10-11 to 11-12.

They made some mistakes. But getting rid of Campbell was not one of them.
