On one hand, if Stamkos was just decent at 5v5 this year, they're probably next to the Leafs in the standings & comfortably in a playoff spot.

On another hand, if the Devils weren't such a joke for much of the season, we're definitely out of a playoff spot.

I haven’t seen Tampa much (yet), but I think they play a high-risk, high-reward type of defense, which really exposes the D. Each mistake becomes very visible.

Since the all-star break, Lilleberg has lost many of the battles in front of the net. And combined with one rookie-mistake per game, he has looked lost and insecure.

In this period however, he won those battles. Two high-danger chances against, was very noticeable. Let’s hope this give some confidence, and that he starts playing like pre all star weekend.
