He really does. You could clearly see that last night. We had fire back on that line again.

We have not been consistent yet we're still knocking on the door of that last playoff spot. Think about when we actually become consistent. I actually like that we have lots to improve on yet we're still hanging around. It could be worse, we could be San Jose who is nose diving big time. At least we are still staying afloat.

these guys are pros! they didnt get here because any of them are slackers, they need to pull together as a group and find ways to win. i believe the wild have enough talent they need to play smarter, faster, stronger. sounds simple?

maybe if we hadn't started messing with lines we would have been over the rough patch by now and firing on all cylinders.

So... we finally score more than 2 goals... and then our defense goes to crap...

Defense not very good whether it was under Todd Richards, or Mike Yeo. The common thread, Rick Wilson. Hmmm.

God ****ing damn it.

Missed the game last night, just watched it on GC. Ugh. Just... ugh. The non-call on that Bäcks trip was horrible, cost us the game. Way to go refs. Our shootout performance was... bad.

No excuses. Makes me want to go to a killing spree on some kittens.

On the plus side, well, we scored 3. Against the worst D in the league.

Wait, so you blame the refs for costing us the game and yet you say there's no excuses?

Learn some reading comprehension, please.

I said that the phrase "no excuses" makes me want to go to a kitten killing spree, and I even used a "" -emoticon to clarify that I felt the phrase "no excuses" is getting overused and annoying, especially when there is not only an excuse but a clear reason as to why we lost.

I had to go to sleep after 2nd period due to being way too tired. Did they play any better in 3rd and OT or did they still play bad hockey?

Exactly my thoughts. The constant game by game changes have to stop. First, figure out something that makes some sort of sense. Then stick with it for a reasonable amount of time before feeling the pressure to tinker.

well koivu scored put us up 3-2 and i was starting to believe but within one minute colorado poured it on & tied the game. spur was sprawled out on the ice , the avs shot the puck from behind the net hitting spurs skate and going in @*&$! after that an avs player RAN backs tripping him ON PURPOSE and no call. with 1:30 left parise gets a high stick penalty (bonehead) goes to shootout done / gameover 4-3 loss to a bottom nhl team without eric johnson their best D-man. UGH CHARLIE BROWN! ps hejduk's goal was a perfect shot over back shoulder & in the second PMB took a shot that hit the knob of the goalies stick and somehow did not go in , jessie james rode again!

Rick Wilson improved the defense quite a bit from Richard's first year, when it was just complete chaos.

And actually Wild have improved defensively every year since Wilson came aboard. We haven't reached Lemaire levels of defensive play but it's been getting better.

We could still move back to a passive forecheck which would improve the defense more but might hurt the offense.

Weren't you a proponent of in-game line changes though?

Pants.
I don't know why everyone's griping about the assorted no-calls in the game. They were saving us all piles of misery. Since I watch weekday games a little later, I finally wised up and just hit Fast Forward as soon as the Wild went on a power play, and it was good. **** this team's power play. **** it so hard. **** it like it's raining KY Jelly on Viagra day. Acid KY rain that melts clothes off and makes everyone drunk and is also weakening gravity just a little somehow. **** it like it's all of those things on the day they let you out of prison for prom and you got into a fight with it the day before. We don't want those calls.

Anyways, it's a shame it takes the Wild at least a period to realize the game started. They might need to do a fake face-off a half hour before the game starts as part of their warm-up-- dress someone in the other team's jersey to take it, and maybe they'll be ready to go when the real superintendant Chalmers drops the puck.

More or less sums up the reason to keep Mikael Granlund with the Wild to me. It makes about as much sense. Just sayin'...
