The story goes that there was originally someone else planned to play the part and Ermey was just an advisor, but he sent a tape of himself just going off ad-libbing and Kubrick liked it so much that he gave him the part and basically full reign to do whatever he wanted with the character.

But for real, there are rumors of ESP dropping these as soon as Kruspe's new guitar comes out. Had to grab it before they retire it like the RZK-600.

His new guitar looks like it's based on the Thunderbird bass/Phoenix guitar? Whatever it is, it's not Rammstein enough for me to like it.
