Maybe I'm being a homer but for me it has to be the Wings now. Sanderson hasn't made the NHL yet and Drysdale was good this year but no where close to as good as Seider. Meanwhile Raymond was 90% as good as Stutzle and Zegras. So essentially it works out like this for me
Seider >> Drysdale >> Sanderson
Vs
Stutzle > Zegras > Raymond
Because the forwards are a lot closer than the D, I'll take the Wings duo. Any other ranking of the D and I'd call you crazy. You could rank those three forwards however you want and I'd just shrug.
You would have to find a symbol smaller than > to compare the forwards.

Stützle=Zegras=Raymond is a lot closer to portraying the real gap than Jimmy>Zegras>Raymond.

And imho it’s Seider >>> Drysdale > Sanderson right now.

Just out of curiosity, does any other NHL team boast a pair of forwards and defenders of this caliber?

Oil: Holloway & Bouchard or Broberg

Kings: Byfield or Turcotte & Bjornfot

Avalanche: Newhook & Byram

Devils: Holtz & Smith

Jets: Perfetti & Heinola

Leafs: Robertson & Sandin

S TIER (both blue chip)
Stutzle & Sanderson
Zegras & Drysdale
Raymond & Seider

A TIER (blue chip + a prospect)
Holloway & Bouchard
Newhook & Byram (very hard not to have in S)
Perfetti & Heinola
Byfield/Turcotte & Bjornfot

B TIER (2x a prospect)
Holtz & Smith
Robertson & Sandin (very close to a tier)
Why include Stutzle for OTT but not say Hughes for NJ ?

Also what about Robertson+Harley? Also Thompson+Dahlin

No idea why I excluded Hughes, wasn’t being disingenuous, but as of right now Hughes + Nemec is clear cut and away favourite. Even Hughes + Smith would be in the top category.

You realize you're quoting a post from Feb 2021, right?
Hmm nope lol

Only name thatd change for me though is Thompson, so replace him with Cozens. Robertson was near ppg in 2021 and Harley has been a highly-regard prospect for some the last two years

I think the point of his post was that I included players like Byram and Turcotte from 2019 in the post he quoted but excluded Hughes at the time, which is fair.
I was also thinking he was talking about Luke Hughes (along with Jack), who had not been drafted. Fair point, I should just shut up

I went with Raymond + Seider. All three combos are really good though. I'm envious of all of them. Hopefully Slafkovsky can get on the level of these forwards, but we have no defenceman currently who can realistically rise to the heights of Seider in particular, but also to Drysdale's or Sanderson's level.

Raymond + Seider
Stutzle + Sanderson
Zegras + Drysdale
