Just an unbelievable career. And frankly, no matter what happened between both of our teams, I always respected the guy. And I always thought this as strangely as it sounds....the guy restrained himself. There are plenty of occasions that I'm sure he could have so much more damages to almost every single player out there, and didn't.

Off ice seemed like a great guy. On-ice, just an incredible leader and actually a very good hockey player. Obviously made sense that he signed that contract today and to end it as a Bruin. There was really no other scenarios possible.

He won't read this..but congrats on a superb career Big Zee.

Captained this franchise from laughing stock to world champion. He made them the team I grew up loving and brought me my only adult world championship in my three sports. Forever will be grateful for him
