Redmond is terrible and should be in the AHL. Barberio is next. Neither player should be in the NHL, but our NHL depth at D is terrible. Redmond played seriously sheltered minutes because he's terrible.

When Barbie's off the blueline, it'll mean we have an NHL blueline once again. Barberio is the better skater which is why he's still here. Barberio can skate the puck out if given space. He'll also dump the puck if under pressure. Redmond plays too slow of a game.

Was trying to put it into words, and this pretty much nails it.

I thought Redmond was the only bottom pairing Dman who did well since the injuries to Markov and Pateryn

I was impressed by him too. Had Barberio not been there, Redmond would have looked good.

In perfect world he's the #8 D so if Petry isn't seriously hurt he provides decent RD depth in case of future injury.
