It definitely hurt our chances, no question. People will point at games in hand but will fail to take notice to the fact that the Canucks are recently struggling too and have a more condensed schedule than us down the road. In fact in February they have 14 games in 28 days with an east coast road trip mixed in. So their games in hand may not be such a blessing.

4 games in hand are basically at least 4 points for anyone other than the very worse teams.

Given the games in hand - it looks like it will be us VS Winnipeg for that last spot, and we're going to need a decent win streak (5 games at least) right now if we want a solid chance at it.

I'm hoping to see Bennett as a winger later this season. That should be a pretty nice boost to the lineup if he can get up to speed.

Can't imagine he plays for the Flames, stepping right into the NHL after a long term injury like that. I imagine they will let him finish out whats left of the season in Kingston and then compete for a NHL spot at camp.
