the last 15 years
-losing to the eventual cup winning Rags 4-0 (losing each game 6-0, 7-1:cry:)
-fishgerman logo:cry:
-Guy that tried to buy team had only thousands of dollars, not millions:cry:
-Mike Milbury:cry:
-MM trading away Jokinen and Luongo and Bertuzzi, etc:cry:
-No new areana yet:cry:
-too many to list:cry::cry::cry:

You forgot Chara :sarcasm:.

On the bright side, Snow is proving himself to be one of the league's better GMs, in my opinion. Not like that's a feat in and of itself (given how bad some GMs are and how terrible Millbury was) but it looks like the team is at least on the right track, even if it's miles from daylight.

I don't think anything compares to when Gretzky was sold, from an Oilers perspective anyways.

94 Game 7 against the rangers. I Remember the rags fans in school the whole next year talking so much trash to me as i was in the minority in my class that was a devils fan. The next 11 years made up for it however. I call it Karma.

How sweet it would be if the devils could have won it preventing the rags fans from touting the cup win they hold onto so much.

01 stanley cup loss to the Avs even though I blanked that out of my mind for the most part, that is until i see Borque rasing the cup above his head.

The Sell-offs, but especially, Jagr to the Caps!
Keith Primeau OT Winner.
1st Year after the Lock-out. So much promise going in, hearts crushed quick.
Isle of Capri casino plan shutdown was an awful, awful day. Thought it was actually over.

Many I'm forgetting, but I dont consider the previous Cup loss to be part of it. Very proud moment if anything, really.

of course still im a leafs fan so i know dissapointment well... to be fair tho the leafs have never really looked like a cakewalk to the cup where as the sens seem to look good every year, but never live up to expectations.. it woudl be far more dissapointing in my mind to be a sens fan... and probably the worst moment for me is a moment that i cant even remember... i was only 3 years old in 93 and wayne gretzky accidently highsticks doug gilmour and kerry fraser decides highsticking isnt a penalty when it happens to the leafs... even if we didnt win the cup that year it woudl have been a toronto montreal stanley cup final... how amazing would that be?.. still from what i remember the most heart broken ive been as a leafs fan (im only 18) is a tie between 2002 loss to the hurricanes (we tied it up with less than 30 sec but lost less than 5 min later in OT) and a game the leafs didnt even play in... NJ and NYI 2 yrs ago... NJ is down 2 in the third and come back to tie it up with 0.7 seconds left in the third... NJ loses in a SO and the leafs are eliminated from playoff contention on the last day of the season.. it still hurts to think about

dissapointed no....MAD AS HELL ...in 93 the rule was that even if you cut someone accidentally it was an automatic 5 mins and a game misconduct...." LEAF KILLER KERRY FRASER" and the linesman were discussing it...i'm not throwing Gretzky out ..are you?...no not me....are you? no not me...Leafs didnot get the 5 mins of powerplay time they deserved and guess who help L.A. win the game?...yeah you got it ...Gretzky.... till this day it was the biggest farce by the officials in a game as witnesses by millions.........sad thing was that all 3 refs saw the high stick...someone shoot that Frazer....he's killed the Leafs more than any hockey team has.

Good list really...the only real lowlight that comes off the top of my head is...

January, 10 2004 - Steve McKenna named team Captain for one game.

My dad took me to my first ever hockey game, I was 6 years old.
Unfortunately, it was a Canucks game and I have endured 38 years of misery since that day. There have been far too many disastrous moments to list them all...

The day Harold Ballard became involved with the Maple Leafs will forever be our darkest hour. I'm not sure the rest of the leagues new fans really know just how terrible this man was and how long its taken the Leafs to recover from his reign. :shakehead

I agree, there's no way that Adolf Hitler should have been resurrected and named Bruins coach.

The best phrase I've ever heard to describe Ballard is, "If there is a hell, I hope he burns there."

If the stories about him were left to nothing but the mundane (eavesdropping on player conversations before he was officially part of the ownership group), laughable ("If you had the chance to screw the government out of a bunch of money, you'd do it too!"), or pathetic (selling Mahovlich for $1 million), it would be one thing. Unfortunately he went way beyond that into "heartless, soulless, possibly child-molesting *******" territory.

and of course you cant forget when my leafs squeaked into the eigth spot and were hyped to be destroyed and swept by ottawa 4-0.... i however didnt see that as the case that year.... and we came out and took it to you and ended up sweeping the ottawa senators.... GO LEAFS GO! GO LEAFS GO!

This is in no way a consensus of leafs fans.

Lets see. From a Flyers point of view:
1997 SCF- Getting swept by Detroit
04 ECF- Game 7 vs. Lightning
The entire 06-07 season
Losing Lindros with such bad terms
Trading away Handzus, Johnsson, and Primeau retiring
This past ECF vs. the Pens
9-1 loss vs. Sabres a few years back
Being shutout 8-0 by the Sabres in the playoffs with Cechmanek and Boucher in net
Tertyshnys death

Thats what I remember in my 19 years as a fan.

Don't worry, I hear ya. That poster probably doesn't even know who the dude in your avatar is. And if he did, he almost certainly never saw him play.

I was a Habs fan in my pre-Sens days, but I was very fond of that 93 Leaf team as well.

sigh . . .

Morrow's goal after watching 3+ periods of OT hockey and watching the Sharks battle back from down 3-0 in the series was heartbreaking. My girlfriend didn't understand why I was so upset and when I saw another friend of mine (huge Sharks fan) later that night we just stared blankly at each other.

- Roy raises his arms VS Detroit, leaves town for 2nd liners and a bottom tier starting goalie.

- Boom Boom Geoffrion passes away the morning his jersey is retired 25 years too late.

- Trent McCleary almost dies.

- Donald Audette gets his wrist slit.

- Theodore gets caught doping (But that led to a positive, Theodore leaving)

- Gainey doesn't offer Streit a contract, Streit walks.

- Tremblay throws Brashear out of the team.

As a Wings fan, here is my list:

- The Vladimir Konstantinov accident.
- Adam Oates for Bernie Federko
- Most of the 70's and early 80's.
- Swept by the Devils in the '95 SCF
- Losing to San Jose in the 1st Round in '94. Damn you Jamie Baker!
