I went back to 1991 and came up with this group

P. Engvall(188) - S. Berezin (256) - C. Brown(156)
L. Komarov(180) - K. Wellwood(134) - A. Johnsson(202)
D. Joshua(128) - P. Holmberg(156) - J. Mitchell(158)
S. Thornton(190) - D. Toninato(126) - R. Vandenbussche(173)

T. Kaberle(204) - A. Stralman(216)
I. White(191) - C. Gunnarsson(194)
D. Mironov(160) - D. Markov(223)

G. Sparks(190)
A. Bibeau(172)

Never drafted a starting goalie 100 or below... at least from 1963.

Reimer was close at 99

This team is going to give me nightmares outside Kaberle.

For the Senators:

Batherson-Demitra-Alfredsson
Hoffman-Laich-Stone
Dzingel-D Grant-Arvedson
Dackell-Kastelic-Neil

Salo-Rachunek(RIP)
Zanon-Borowiecki
Wolanin-C.Wideman

Daccord
Elliott

Defense is pretty bad, but the forwards and goalies are quite good considering the restrictions.

Outside of goaltending, the Rangers are fairly grim looking - especially since a decent amount of the good players were traded fairly early on.

Tony Granato (120) - Darren Turcotte (114) - Ryan Callahan (127)
Carl Hagelin (168) - Sergei Nemchinov (244) - Jesper Fast (157)
Todd Marchant (154) - Mike York (136) - Dale Weise (111)
Ryan Hollweg (238) - Morgan Barron (174) - Petr Prucha (240)

Reijo Ruotsalainen (119) - Kim Johnsson (286)
Mike Mottau (182) - Marek Zidlicky (176)
Ryan Graves (110) - Kjell Samuelsson (119)

Henrik Lundquist (205)
Igor Shesterkin (118)

Including undrafted players would help this team tremendously. (I HAD to include Hollweg because I couldn't find a 12th forward )

Honestly just did name-recognition which is gonna have some recency bias, and then filled in the last couple spots with highest draft picks that played at least 200 games in the NHL but for Boston:

Forwards:

PJ Axelsson (177)
Anton Bildh (180)
Oskar Steen (165)
Randy Burridge (157)
Craig MacTavish (153)
Anders Bjork (146)
Kris Versteeg (134)
Bob Sweeney (123)
Danton Heinen (116)
Mariusz Czerkawski (106)
Jeff Brubaker (102)
Matti Hagman (104)

Defensemen:

Hal Gill (207)
Bob Beers (210)
Don Sweeney (166)
Andrew Bonnarchuk (128)
Randy Hillier (102)
Allen Pedersen (102)

Goalies:

Andrew Raycroft (135)
Jeremy Swayman (111)

Rudolfs Balcers-Nick Bonino-Mikael Samuelson
Colin Blackwell-Sean Kuraly-Kevin Labanc
Mark Smith-Rourke Chartier-Tommy Wingels

Christian Ehrhoff-Justin Braun
Douglas Murray-Dylan Demelo
Joakim Ryan-Jason Demers

Mika Kiprusoff
Evgeni Nabokov

Forwards are a little thin after the first line but the defense is extremely respectable if you consider them in their primes and the goaltending is great.

I'm bored on my lunch break, and the thread about who is the biggest draft steal of all time got me wondering about every team's best late-round picks. Post your favorite team's best roster of players drafted by that team pick 100 or later. Here is my quick stab at a Sabres roster. I didn't put any thought into line positions or ranking. The numbers in parentheses are the draft numbers. I know teams like Detroit will destroy this roster (except maybe in goal)

Marcus Foligno (104) – Brandon Hagel (159) - Victor Olofsson (181)
Ales Kotalik (164) - Derek Plante (161) – Donald Audette (183)
Randy Cunneyworth (167) – Christian Ruutu (134) – Nathan Gerbe (142)
Paul Byron (179) - Paul Gaustad (220) – Pat Kaleta (176)
Ken Baumgartner (245) – Brian Holzinger (124)

Brian Campbell (156) – Sean O’Donnell (123)
Dennis Wideman (241) – Shane Hnidy (173)
Uwe Krupp (214) – Joe Reekie (119)
Nathan Paetsch (167)

Ryan Miller (138)
Linus Ullmark (163)
Steve Shields (101)
UDFA matter? I'd exclude veterans UFAs from Europe

I didn't include UDFAs. I almost put those guys on the roster. I was surprised how few games Yuri played -- only 263 NHL games. And Hejda never played a single game for Buffalo. But yeah, they could both be on there.

Stellar goaltending, but pretty scary otherwise.

Kept it to only Dallas-era drafts.

Devils, but I’m including the whole franchise since the team has been done already.

It didn’t actually help a whole lot, I got two pre-1982 players with that bold move.

Jesper Bratt (2016, 162) - Alexander Semak (1988, 207) - Steve Sullivan (1994, 233)

Aaron Broten (1980, 106) - Yegor Sharangovich (2018, 141) - Alex Kerfoot (2012, 150)

Valeri Zelepukin (1990, 221) - Jim Dowd (1987, 149) - Kevin Todd (1986, 129)

Mike Peluso (1984, 190) - Stephane Yelle (1992, 186) - Miles Wood (2013, 100)

Viacheslav Fetisov (1983, 145) - Bruce Driver (1981, 108)

Willie Mitchell (1996, 1999) - Jaroslav Modry (1990, 179)

Alexei Kasatonov (1983, 225) - Deryk Engelland (2000, 194)

Kirk McLean (1984, 107)

Pretty weak except the top line. Canucks have some strong undrafted players though like Burrows, Tanev, Greg Adams, Geoff Courtnall and Donald Brashear.

Panthers:

1. Hyman(123) Malgin(102) Ovechkin :sarcasm:
2 Garret Wilson?(107) Donski(99) Novoseltsev(95)
3 Mamin(175) Rau(91) Pakarien(184)
4 Tanner Glass(265) Knight(135) Worrell(166)

B1 Weegar(206) Kuba(192)
B2 Spacek(117) Majesky(267)
B3 Bartkowski(190) Josh Brown(152)

G1 Levi(212)
G2 Montembeault(77)

I know the Panthers have never been a strong drafting team, but after a few hits in the 2nd and 3rd, it's slim picking.
Funny, in the 90's they had some good hits on defensemen, but none of them really blossomed here.

I had a convo with Hejda about not playing for them. He regrets not really getting a chance for those post-2004 lockout Sabres teams.

And Khmylev’s daughter can sniff out any mention of Yuri on Twitter. It’s amazing
