We first heard it from one of the posters on our board who's shared information that checked out before, during the summer of 2016...when that non-trade is supposed to have almost happened. Since then it's popped up from some of the avs' writers, but I couldn't link you off the top of my head.

It didn't come out for a while, cause I remember months having past between when I first heard it and when I first read it somewhere...maybe it didn't come out until after the Duchene trade?...either way I'm having a tough time remembering where or when I've read it officially :-/ Sorry

I looked into it after and that was Colorado's asking price but Ottawa refused to discuss Chabot in the deal.
