Which teams do you think are the best?

These for me

Best Defences are Nashville, Minnesota

Nashville
Josi - Jones
Subban -Ellis
Suter - Weber
X - Girard, Ekholm

Minnesota
Suter-Spurgeon
Brodin-Burns
Scandella-Dumba
x- Reilly, Folin

--------

Best Offences, Boston, Toronto, Pitts,

Boston
Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
R. Smith - Seguin - Wheeler
Lucic - Krejci - Kessel
Debrusk - Thornton - Spooner
X- Heinen, Eriksson, Backes, Nash

Toronto

Jvr - Matthews - Marner
Steen - Tavares - Kessel
Marleau - Kadri - Nylander
Grabner - Bozak - Kapanen
x- Boyle, Hyman, Brown, Panik

Pittsburgh

Perron - Crosby - Neal
Guentzel - Malkin - Kessel
Sheary - Staal - Hornqvist
Hagelin - Brassard - Rust
x- Sheahan, Sprong, Bonino, Sutter

Honestly, I’d take San Jose’s current defense over Minnesota’s with Burns, although it’s damn close.

Landeskog - MacK - Rantanen
Kerfoot - O’Reilly - Duchene
Jost - Stastny - Andrighetto
Wilson - Soderberg - Calvert
Kamenev / Compher

Girard - Johnson
Zadorov - Barrie
Cole - Shattenkirk
Nemeth

Varlamov
Grubauer

Boychuk deserves to be in there over Zadorov or Cole, at least for this season.

Ferland and Hamilton would probably be the only players I'd add to the Flames.

Everyone else is old

Did this off the top of my head so I might be missing someone obvious. Remembered Wheeler at the last second.

Savard? Oh. Nvm, didn't realize his contract ran out at the end of 2017. Edit: Upon further reflection, Jagr hasn't retired yet and should be in there.

Yeah I felt like there was a few guys I was forgetting. Staz was 1, Boychuk's another...although there ain't no way in hell I'm taking Peacock out of the lineup, he can take Cole's spot

Assuming players are at their peak, Hossa should probably be on there. :)

Offence Looks amazing
Defence Still not great.
Goaltending improved but not as impressive as others.

This lineup is quite a bit worse then what the Maple Leafs have now though.

Perron Getzlaf Palmieri
Rakell Karlsson Kase
Maroon Henrique Perry
Cogliano Kesler Silfverberg

Lindholm Vatanen
Fowler Manson
Gardiner Montour

Gibson
Miller

A few good players that don’t make it - Perreault, Ryan and Bonino up front I had a hard time leaving out. Andersen in net although Miller could still easily be a starter in this league he’s so good even at his advanced age.

Do traded away draft picks count? I don’t think they should, since that pick never actually became an ex-player...but Forsberg was selected using a Colorado Avalanche pick...and he’d really help that top 6 next to ROR & Duchene

Landy - MacK - Mikko
FF - O’Reilly - Dutchy
Jost - Stastny - Kerfoot
Calvert - Soda - Wilson*
