Tatar has been the most disappointing signing we've had recently considering what he was brought here to do.

He is what he’s always been, a streaky middle 6 winger that we are probably expecting too much out of as fans. He has hit a skid but he’ll likely hit another streak of points eventually as well. This is without him being a part of the main PP unit too.

He’s not a bad player at all but his skill set is unfortunately sort of redundant on our team.

Tatar is what he is and if he’s not utilized in a main scoring role, like he was in Montreal, he’s pretty much useless.

It’s not a coincidence that he was the last guy, who was viewed as a top #6 forward, with no contract in free agency this summer. You can come up with all the analytics numbers you want, his play on the ice does all the talking you need to hear.

Wish his streak of points would last longer than it did.

We can't always depend on just Hughes/Bratt (and on occasion, Nico) to provide us with the offense.

A bit cringe when the Devils IG hypes "It's 3rd jersey night" in a post and all you have is Devils fans commenting under it how much they hate it and telling the team to stop wearing it.

They really should've cancelled these striped monstrosities by now

What's the latest with Daws? Sucks that he's missing an opportunity to play in the NHL given the injuries to Blackwood & Bernier.

Lol the team doesn't care about the loud social media folks. These jerseys are being bought by a ton of people at the Den at each game.

Are they? I don't see many of them in the crowds
Theres a ton out there already. Hell I even caved and got one. They will make their money on this and again next season with the another round of retro reverse jerseys. Especially if we are finally getting the retro template with the red and black colors. They can have all my money if this is made.

The retro template with our current colors looks like it should be our regular home jersey. That's very nice actually

I just haven't seen many of the striped black "jersey" ones. I doubt these are selling as well as 3rd jerseys of other teams that are well received by fans

Daws and Schmid have had two consecutive AHL starts each since their return.

Daws stopped 34 of 38 in an OTL and 24 of 28 in an L for a .879 SV% over the two games.

Schmid missed a shutout with 2:14 remaining, stopping 34 of 35 and 27 of 30 in a 6-3 win for a .938 SV% on a B2B.

To be fair, Schmid seemed to be coming off the Covid list and it was fairly quickly so it may have been a very mild case. In contrast, Daws had a lower body injury that kept him out for weeks and he may still be feeling its effects. This obviously isn't ideal, but it's probably best that MBW gets whatever treatment he needs on his heel. He's not doing any better than Gillies lately so either way the team has an issue in goal right now. Fingers crossed that Schmid is better than his last go round.

Yes.

And Schmid missed approximately, if not exactly the same amount of playing time Daws did. Schmid would have played for Utica and probably not been placed in Covid protocol until Utica (and most of the AHL) were shut down a week (or two?) later.

Okhotiuk running into Daws really snowballed Utica in net.
