Can someone let me know if I'm taking crazy pills here? I'm in an argument on the main board that Coleman at 1.8M plus 3.5M of cap space to do whatever you want is better value than Konecny at 5.5M. Like, I believe this is an open and shut case but Flyers fans can't seem to understand that I'm taking the cap space into account here. Yes, Konecny is better than Coleman but not 3.5M better.

I had high expectations for the Devils before the start of the season but forgot about coach John Hynes. I was focused on the players. After seeing the defensive pairings for game 1, I remembered Hynes. Then when the Devils went into a protect mode after being up 4-0, I remembered Hynes. I still have high hopes for most of the individual players.

That's a very silly and unnecessary argument to pick.

Why? It stems from the argument that Konecny got overpaid. He has been riding shotgun with Giroux and JVR/Couturier for most of the last two seasons, which has got to account for a lot of his points. They're assuming he gets better and will start to drive his own line but we will see.

That's great. Coleman also got 2 goals. They're even.

It's a discussion board so nothing wrong with having different discussions. Just wanted to get Devils fans' takes, I'll see what others have to say too. But yeah, go Devs tonight. Last night was one game, so no point to dwell on it. I wasn't that shaken up because the game was at the same time as Yanks playoff and that one was a little more high stakes. I wish they wouldn't put them on at the same time, but I guess the NHL schedules were already made.

Besides, if he did smile, I'd have to punch him 'cause after the crap he pulled last night involving Hayden-over-Bratt......yeah. Definitely punch him.

Should be noted that the opening lineup defensive pairings helped us get out to a 4-0 lead.
