I have no problem with Jankowski coming back. Hinostroza would be nice, but "maybe" they get something for him at the deadline.

Biro could be a L4 riser F13/14.

Almost certainly going to see some spend (trade or FA) on RD and G1B/2)

yes, regardless of that now

I get the idea but the point is it wont be realistic without the floor in place. I'd rather give the parameters of we can up to say 3 new players to our core under contract to meet the floor. It'll add for more creative convo.

Power isn't signed but will be so he can take the 2LD spot.
Quinn stays down to start the year.

Need to fill out some roster spots but we have picks and cap space.

There's no realistic UFA RHD target. They have the cap to pay Klingberg or Subban, but I just don't see it happening. After those two it gets very thin. Colin Miller is one of the more attractive options.

Browse - CapFriendly - NHL Salary Caps

Maybe Justin Schultz?
To play with Samuelsson? Because Justin Schultz is an offensive RD and is unlikely to be paired with Dahlin or Power. Klingberg would also be a dubious option.

I attached the UFA link, what UFA RHD would you target?

I know it's well below the cap. but tbd on some holes.

Highlights:

53-72-89 is a lock.

19-24-22 should be a lock.

There's a big fight with guys here and FA's / trade guys for the 3rd line. I say JJP makes one of the 3 spots.

fourth line is new log line.

Defense, do what it takes to get a Dahlin partner.

Goaltending, find me a real starting NHL goalie.

KEEP YOUR TEAM HEALTHY

and go for 8th seed.

He's a one of the better options. Is that player card old? He's almost 28 now.
It's written there.

I like this lineup. Part of me wants to rush Krebs right into a top-6 spot full-time but I also know Mitts will inevitably get injured and he'll get a shot then.

Until Mitts is injured, though, he's earned the right to a real shot. It's easy to forget him this season but he's as dynamic as any offensive player we have when healthy.

That third-line RW role better be an expensive guy who can finish while also getting us to the floor, though, because Cozens is not an ideal fit for Krebs.

Josh Manson would probably make sense too, but he is likely to be the target of many teams and it seems his game is not as good as it used to be, so for me Lyubushkin would be the number one target to play with Dahlin or Power, as he is decent in defense and physical.

100% concur. I've looked into the future and it involves a team way overpaying Manson. Lyubushkin has never played a particularly heavy load, and that would concern me if they're bringing him in as their top pairing RHD. His quality of competition would take a tremendous spike with such deployment.

Nice, but ...

Krebs at 2C, instead of Cozens (don't know if he can play LW). Samuelsson instead of Hagg. I'd prefer Fitz to Hagg as #7D.

We cannot have Tokarski as our starter; he belongs in Rochester. Bring in someone to platoon with 6K.

I don't think there's any chance of Blake agreeing to this unless he's having a stroke.

In the off season I'd trade Ryan Johnson or an equivalent, and our 2nd or maybe even one of the florida/vgk firsts for Dumba. Assuming we're not on his m-ntc or that he'd accept a trade here, it would mean he's also probably willing to pre-negotiate an extension.

If Manson can be had for a reasonable cap hit, do it. He's really a #4/5 D, but I expect him to get #2/#3 money. We don't want to be the team signing him to 7 x $6+

Sign Justin Schultz cheap for 1-2 years. He's a slightly better version of Colin Miller but actually won a cup.

Sign Pysk cheap for 1-2 years.

Hertl or Kadri could both slot into a top 6 center spot, but I don't want to be the team signing one of them for 7 x $8+

resign Hino for cheap

Wouldn't mind taking on the last year of Hornqvist for a decent payment from Florida.

Sign at least one UFA Goalie

UFA goalies I find acceptable in no particular order:

Anton Forsberg
Holtby
Husso
Campbell
Kuemper
