When's that gonna be? We haven't had it for years now. No matter what they try it doesn't work.

We had Cory for 3 years who was good, then he began to erode at 30 years old.

We had one good season in a reduced role from Blackwood and one good season (albeit cut a month short because of the covid shutdown) out of him as a starter. It's been all downhill since.

Cory showed us that the end of Marty and his decline wasn't really the worst we'll see for a few decades and now Blackwood is showing us that Cory's decline would only be the worst goaltending we'd see for 2 years or so and not a half century.

At this point Blackwood's last 53 games have probably been worse than Cory's last 120, only we actually let Cory stick around to suck for 120 or 130 games or so. But at the same time, we had a coach that wasn't really eager to play him too often and throw him out there and felt the same way about him as I did at the very least. The same can't be said for the current head coach.

Honestly, his play is a bright spot for me this season. His board play has gotten way better. Hughes, Nico and Mercer has me excited for our center depth. Again, one bright spot lol. Looking for silver linings after tonight's disaster.

I mean we're just as likely to develop someone as we are bring them in and have them play well (ask Seattle how Grubauer is doing), it's not like the three or four actual elite goalies are going to be FA's anytime soon.
