Pretty much. We visited Vancouver in the summer, including a night's stay in an AirBnB in a suburb. English on store signs was a distant second in the area. Great cultural experience!

Went to BJs yesterday with Flyers t-shirt and cap and didn't get in the door before being questioned by older couple... "Hey, what's with the Mascot?"... not Gritty Fans... Told them to see him live; he's great... "I love him"... Got home and neighbor wanted to chat Gritty.

On a side note, at the arena, the only thing they had for Gritty was a t shirt with the wrong design on it. It was the design that is the mixture of an owl and grimace. I should have grabbed it, it probably will not be for sale much longer.
