Oilers have a single goal cause Luongo stone Rattie twice and making saves
The Oilers got outchanced 7-0 in that second period. The first period? 3-1 Oilers.

Rattie getting stoned isn't really surprising. Maybe he should dig and make sure the puck is in the net before celebrating.

Talbot hasn't been great but the team has been absolute crap the last three games regardless of who's in net.

Goaltending has been one of the biggest problems with this team, not the talent level of the players. They aren't a top 10 team, but they certainly aren't a bottom 10 team either. Average goaltending gets this team wins, Tàlbot hasn't been average.

The puck was not in the neutral zone. It was deep in our zone. Stop blaming Puljujarvi for mistakes by teammates.
Where did Puljujarvi put the puck and where did the Florida player gain possession? You want a really good hint about how well how well his teammates anticipated that play? Connor McDavid didn't know where the puck was.

But when we do that the other team just wasn’t trying for a period right?
No?

Did you think the Oilers played well in that second period?

We know the Oilers can beat other teams. They sucked in the second period something fierce. A better team would've put 5 on the board.

The Oilers have scored a single goal tonight.

Luongo has been tested maybe twice tonight.

This team is getting schooled by a pretty bad Panthers team.

But as always, it's only the goalie's fault, nobody else's.
It’s not only talbots fault but he should hold a fair share of the blame. The Panthers don’t exactly scream “offensive powerhouse”.

We actually had a few great chances in the first and Luongo kept the Panthers in it. Fact of the matter is Talbot didn’t.

It may not be fair but life isn’t fair. Goaltending is probably the most important position in hockey and if you’re usually on the wrong side of that matchup your team is going to lose.

Talbot is at Bettman .500 (about to be worse) and has a below .900 save percentage. Is that good enough?
