The two picks were the ones acquired from when we took the Savard contract and the compensation for Lamoriello in Toronto.

If Washington was going to move Johansson, they should have done it before the expansion draft and protected Schmidt. This is just awful asset management.

Caps still have holes in bottom six, defense and back-up goaltending so far. Carlson needs a new contract next year too.

Was really hoping some OUT-OF-DIVISION team could profit from Washington's newfound cap woes. Harrumph.

Absolutely awful return. The Kuzya contract was rough, but a pill I could swallow. This is a horrendous trade.
