Doesn't need to be the team but maybe just the pairing.
Breaking everyone down and molding them into a template has ruined many skilled (non north american) players who could have been legit NHL stars if given the rope.

He seems to be one of those guys who can just purely dominate in the AHL, and when it comes to the NHL they stop playing their game.
He isnt going to be a PK guy who never makes a mistake, you need to let him be an offensive guy who takes a few risks.

Truly believe he will be an NHLer, just needs the right opportunity. (Bottom pair with a defensive specialist partner, PP2 minutes, on a team where the bottom 6 F's isnt just a defensive minded group)

At $2.5 M for sure they say no. Poolman would be #7 on the Jets after the additions of Dillion and Schmidt. I'd love to have Poolman for that role but no way could we swing that under the cap.

The Jets wouldn't want Poolman at anything over 1 year, 900k.
