Nyquist is a prolific scoring winger who recently emerged with the Detroit Redwings and who sports an attractively low salary. In fact his production vs value ratio is about on par with Carl Soderberg.
So Question 1 is, if you are Chia, would you be willing to offer a rich trade package to land Nyquist.
Question 2 is, what are you willing to give up to get it done?
Caveat as discussed in the Morrow thread - Krug for Nyquist is unrealistic and not going to happen. So let's focus on other trade packages that could actually interest the Wings.
Put on your thinking caps armchair GMs - what trade package could land us Nyquist?
28 goals 20 assists, 48 points, in 57 games played, Age 24, 5'10, 185 lbs, #121 pick from the 2008 draft.
Just thinking of the coincidence in salary, but would Soderberg be a player who interests Detroit?
What about a trade package of Soderberg, Knight, Bartkowski, and a draft pick? Too rich, or too little? I'll put up the poll to see if the majority of Bruins fans even feel if we should make an offer.
