The total overreaction based onone season7 games is truly remarkable
FTFY
How many more years is BB signed for? Probably not expecting him to sign an extension given his age.The only reason I could see it come to this is if he and Kraft had a serious disagreement about the direction of any rebuild. But even that would require Kraft being super dug in far beyond anything we've ever seen to date.
Half season lol.The total overreaction based on one season is truly remarkable
He deserves the Crosby grace more than crosbyI think it's safe to assume Belichick gets more than one season of grace after two decades of machine-like dominance.
You're right but it's gonna be all season haha

Is this a serious post? Fire BB? Just because he can't magically conjure up a successful team out of what is basically Stephon Gilmore and a scrap heap? I don't like the Patriots but damn.
For one, what coach is going to do better with this team right now? For two, if Doug Pederson gets leeway in Philadelphia due to one SB title can you imagine the leeway BB would have after SIX Lombardis and 9 Super Bowl appearances in the past two decades? He's there until he wants to leave.
His drafting the last few years has been bad and the team is paying for it now. They lack talent. In BBs defense they've always drafted at the end of the draft and have sold off a few picks to make some SB runs, but its been bad. I feel like he tries to out smart everyone at times and lets his ego get in the way by drafting div 2 player or taking a guy high risk guy too early. Then you have the whole trading down thing which is maddeningCan't really point to the player personnel as an excuse when Belichick has complete control over that. That's his scrap heap that he built.
They're not going to send him packing over 1 shitty year, but he gets full credit for the shitty year.

Belichick is exceptional at many things related to football & team management. Drafting is NOT one of those things. And the team is paying for it now. You can see the difference in success/hit rate in the draft after Pioli left. It was masked for a long time by Brady, and Belichick's ability to turn other teams trash into solid players.
He will never be fired, but I'd love to see him bring in some draft resources & defer to them more often than not.
