The Oilers wouldn't give Lou complete control of the team that he demands. The issues in Edmonton are much bigger than who the GM is...the GM is just the scapegoat (like they are on every team).

I think the OBC is really overstated. Chiarelli had full authority to make whatever moves he wanted without consulting with others. He negotiated the bloated contracts and made the dumb trades.

Letting go of denial is the first step. Chia was exposed as the incompetent fraud he is, but he was also the puppet in the latest round of 'we need a scapegoat here' that the obc plays.
