I can't see him getting a 5 year deal though. Most teams will want him on a 3 year deal most likely, he'll want a 4, and I think he'll get that because of how he's played this postseason.

Yea I can't see teams paying through the nose for him long term. He's a 'fine' player who does alot of things well. He's well thought of in most aspects of the game. Just can't see anything north of 100m.

Word is that the Royals want to keep him around, but they'll have to open their pocketbooks to do so. Need to do the same with Gordon as well...of course, there are rumors that the Red Sox might look at him (Gordon), and I'd like that too!

I think Jon Heyman today said in his column that the Royals weren't that interested.

Cespedes going down seems like one of those things that seems bigger than it is, at least given this series.
