I agree about the pressure in that scenario.

If Wright is standing there holding Hosmer on, I highly doubt he breaks for home.

If Wright is standing there holding Hosmer on, I highly doubt he breaks for home.

Ideally perhaps, but I don't think that's realistic in that situation. He would have broke on any ball hit to the left side of the infield. With a couple seconds to get back to the bag and be in position to receive the ball. Regardless I still think Hosmer could have got a decent jump considering where Flores was in relation to 1st base. Not to mention Hosmer was the one putting pressure on the infield. Hosmer isn't fast, but he is a smart baserunner.
