There is no chance that the habs allow Suzuki. CC, or Romanov to play.
management cannot be so stupid. Really nobody can be that stupid!!!
Will Russia play? I doubt they can block players if they want to go. Suzuki and Caufield are young enough it could be good for them as long as they are healthy.

Would be nice to see Price attend if they wanted him. Given how few games he will have this year, a few more at the Worlds and a possible medal would be great.

I doubt Armia gets invited, he hasn't played for the national team for close to 10 years and isn't young enough to be seen as a long term investment. Finland and Sweden usually get the core from the European leagues and some top end quality from NHL.
With few exceptions, Ristolainen, Laine, Heiskanen, they will probably have the same team as at the Olympics.

No. Way too many other players before him, including Sanderson (Ottawa), Cam Fowler (Ana), Zack Werenski (Columbus), Seth Jones (Chi), Jake McCabe (Chi), Scott Mayfield (NYI), Quinn Hughes (Vancouver), Neal Pionk (Win), Nate Schmidt (Win), and Jeff Petry. Maybe Chychrun depending on his status.

That's 10 D not including Chychrun.

I think the north American teams often have to dig really deep into their depth charts at this tournament, so you could see wideman there.

It may not be something he wants to attend either though. The upside is that he gives himself another platform to try and get his next NHL deal. The downside is that he can get hurt, making it that much more difficult to get a solid offer to stay in the league.

Price says it's unlikely, but if he feels good both mentally and physically, then he may go -- Covid situation allowing of course.

First tell me, why do you so much hate Suzuki? He's
the future of our team.
!
And for anyone who doesn't get it. Suz, after too short an off-season,
played as the only real top 6 center on habs this season. He payed every
game, mostly under very difficult curcumstances. And with way too little
veteran support. Now some people want to punish him, by preventing him
from getting a rest, recovery time,, or a chance to prepare for next season.
I do hope, that whomever advises this young player, isn't this stupid!

Suzuki himself wants to go, I'm sure he doesn't feel punished. The world championship is 2 weeks, it's not like the playoffs, he'll still get plenty of rest this summer.

Suzuki wants to go. I think he knows better than you do how much rest he needs.

Or maybe they are smarter than you and know this would be great fun and a chance to win a medal. He isn't 37 he is 22, playing 7-9 games in the worlds is not the end of the world.

Didn't I hear or read that Price always wanted to participate? so what's stopping him? If he can play in the NHL and he sure doesn't need a rest..................

I can tell you something is definitely stupid and it isn't Suzuki or Caufield playing for their respective countries and gaining valuable experience......

Hope some of the young guys go. Let them play some games in a different environment. This year has been a shit show, they could use a change of scenery.

So,you saying you foresee a relapse?Habs made it clear that Price would play when Price said he was ready,he's playing,so he's ready.

I don't foresee anything.

He said himself he probably won't go but it depends on where he is.
Suzuki Ready to Play At World’s, Price Likely Won’t
"Carey Price, who has just returned to the Montreal Canadiens after nine long months, wasn’t as enthusiastic about the opportunity to play at the Worlds as Suzuki was. Although he’s always wanted to take part in the tournament, Price would likely be better served spending the summer relaxing and strengthening of his knee for the full grind of an NHL season."
