On the plus side for Finland this is mostly their own doing so if they clean it up they know they can stay in this game and future games.

Säkkinen played the 1-1 goal so poorly. Went to unnecessarily assist in the corner, end up poking the puck toward her own net, giving the US player a free path.

She's essentially just the first starter. Rob Stauber hasn't shown much preference for any of the three goalies leading up to the Olympics and all three are pretty close in talent. Rooney had an impressive Olympic lead up and it's not like she's being started versus Canada.

And that's that. If Finland can keep out of the box they can pull off an upset. Hope Canada watches this game and takes a long look at both teams to ensure they aren't taken by surprise.
