I remember being in a small draft before the tournament on this forum last year, if anyone's interested I'd be happy to administer one.

If there's enough interest I'll dig up the rules from last years thread. I believe the roster sizes were either eight or nine and the point system was based on goals, assists, wins and shutouts.

I believe there were eight people in the one last year, so I'll set that as the limit on the number of people for this one.

First come, first serve, I suppose.

Participants (8/8):
-Stalberg
-stmaryshuskies
-Redwingsfan
-Pauser
-King Canuck
-Systemfel
-CCF23
-fong p88

Edit: Format/Rules

Rosters
5 Forwards
3 Defenseman
1 Goalie

Scoring
Goal - 1
Assist - 1
Wins in Regulation or OT/Shootout - 2
OT/Shootout Loss - 1
Shutout - 2 additional points

Dug up a couple of things from last years, edited in to the first post.

I figure we will get started as soon as possible when we get eight, and hopefully be able to finish without having to impose too strict of a time limit on picks.

Alright, just got to work. I'm going to put the names in order of entry on a randomization site, and post the draft order.

Edit:

There were 8 items in your list. Here they are in random order:

1.king canuck
2.ccf23
3.systemfel
4.redwingsfan
5.Stalberg
6.fong p88
7.pauser
8.stmaryshuskies

I'll put the draft board up and picks can be started whenever. PM the next GM please, so we hopefully don't have to implement time windows.

Also for the people on the waiting list, I will PM you if a spot opens up, but it also might be worthwhile to consider startign up a second pool. You can probably find eight participants relatively easily.

I'm going to start another one up quickly, but how are you keeping track of points? Manually?

EDIT: To anybody who missed out on this one, I have started a 2nd one.

No surprise here. I figured Eberle would go 1 or 2.

Thanks to Systemfel for editing in the pm direct links.

If you have a pick coming up and don't think you will be around for a significant amount of time to make it, feel free to just PM me and I can make it when your turn comes around.

I think to make this draft done before the WJHC start we should have a time limit Yahoo style 10 minutes per pick or maybe 1 hour per pick what do you think.

Well, I was hoping we could get through it without having to put in a time limit on picks...but if we do I think those times are both too low. Maybe we could set something like a two hour clock (excluding overnight) if things don't go fast enough this way.

We could consider trying to organize a live draft a few days from now to finish whatever is left over before the tournament starts, depending on if there is even any picks left to be made at that point. Just in case the picking doesn't go as fast as I hope, when woud any of you guys have time to be able to do a live draft in the coming days?(we'll say probably like an hour, if that)

I work until the 23rd, so any time after 4:30 EST up until then, I am good to go.

After that, aside from sleeping in til 10 or 11EST, I will be available all the time.

All that said, I'm still hoping we can get through it picking over the boards.

Other than tonight I could do it any other night.
