We could have 4 Japanese-Canadians in the NHL in the coming years. Wonder when Japan proper will produce a regular NHLer and if the Suzukis, Yamamoto & Spence could be used to popularize the sport over there.

Our forwards sure are soft and passive. Yeah there's loads of skill but you need some grinders and body snatchers out there.

Yup, it was really evident against Russia. We have a highly talented team, but it has to be one of the least physical team we have ever sent to the world junior’s. Defensive players are throwing a few shoulders, but the forwards are not contributing at all in that aspect of the game. I guess we have enough talent and puck control not to play a dump and chase type of game this year....we’ll see how it pans out.
