Is there really any anti tank crowd left? Its pretty clear this team isn't going anywhere, playoff wise. They're just trending for the 15th pick in the draft without even a shot at the lottery win that would alter their future. I'm 100% Team Tank!

I'm probably about as bullish about them doing a.) pretty well as an organization undergoing change and b.) better than expected so far but even I'm not arguing that they're a playoff team with an unscratched surface. They're bad.

also, it sort of got swept under the rug but we knew this was going to start happening when the schedule was released. They gave one of the oldest teams in the NHL a schedule that was back-loaded and full of compression. It was advantageous to have a lot of practice time with the new coach, and it helped them win more games than I think anyone really expected, but not only is it not looking very good now it's very likely to get worse from here on in a way that will have nothing directly to do with anybody.

won't be coaching or conscious decisions by players, just a mix of young guys hitting walls around tired old guys as a loaded (and strong) schedule grinds them into a mush.
