He may have hands but this kid CAN NOT skate......:shakehead

Yet he kept up with a couple of fast linemates in Seguin and McFarland. As long as he can get from point A to point B and hold is ground along the boards, in front of the net, fight for pucks and set himself up in a position to score, speed isn't going to matter much. Make up for speed by setting him up with fast linemates, as he was lined up with for the Canadian junior team.

I like this. Looks like he could be a really good 3rd liner.

For those who've seen him, who's he comparable to?

I've always thought of him as a less-gifted Tavares with a little more grit. From watching his draft profiles, he seems like a good locker room guy, in the Matt Greene mold.

Game highlight from Ottawa 67's vs. Peterborough Petes game from March. Toffoli scores a hat trick:

A Dustin Brown like rush:

Gives you an idea of his fast hands and quick release.

Toffoli just has an ugly stride. He can get up and down the ice no problem.

He is a prototypical sniper. His hockey IQ is insane, the puck seems to follow him around the ice.

If you look at his stats keep in mind he had something like only 5 points in his first 20 games. That is a hell of a scoring pace for the rest of the season.

Saw him as he was leaving (to get food?) and a line formed to get autographs. One girl handed him a guitar to sign. He looked happy to be a star for ten minutes.
