Zero accountability. Not one guy tried running #13,23. Our two top offensive threats get hurt and the guys showed zero pushback. The flames have Ronaldo, Lucic it makes you keep your head up. As skilled as hockey is getting, you can still be easily intimidated

Well Wheeler says they don't know the severity of Scheifele's injury yet and didn't seem to have to think or collect his thoughts on it at all. I don't think he'd lie but it was a bit of a loaded question from Wiebe.
Kind of kills the excuse for the rest of the game after the 1st period, the effort just wasn't there which I guess you could also argue that their minds could've been elsewhere thinking about their odds without Scheifele.

It's how Vegas beat us in the playoffs, and I saw it several times this year when the other team had more goals than us. You would think that for such a basic and common hockey strategy, Maurice would be able to use our players' speed and talent to overcome it with a tactic that isn't dump & chase. We're sitting ducks.
