Its time for Chiarot. Never mind arguing he should/shouldn't be a prospect. Under the rules for this poll he is a prospect. One who has already demonstrated being no worse than 3rd pair D in the NHL and still with at least a little room for improvement.

Went along with your argument and voted Chiarot. But once you are on a 1 way contract at some point after your ELC you are an NHLer not a prospect IMO. Otherwise would have voted Lemieux as the next best true prospect.

I'm not sure how a 30 game sample demonstrates much of anything. Not that I expect or want it, but he could fall flat on his face next year.

Went with Chiarot.
He's got his new jersey number. Thinking it's time he graduates out of this prospect list.

Add Sami Niku.

Went with Copp. Surprised at the lack of love for him but I guess we really have a deep prospect pool.

I went with a hunch/gut feeling and voted Lemieux. i think he is gonna be a 20 goal scorer in the NHL and be despised by the opposition.

Agree but we didn't make the rules here. Since he is on the list he rates the votes now, IMO.

Still going with Copp. I think he'll be a good 4th liner this season.

What are the official rules?

I'm voting for Trouba! :P

Same as HF uses. Under 25 and under 65 NHL games. I don't know if there are other criteria as well or not. I think that off ELC and on a 1 way should also eliminate a player but it doesn't.

Comrie.

Will probably relent and vote Chiarot next time. I get the rules, but he's not really a prospect in my mind.

Copp/Lemieux after that.

Add Niku.

We're using the Hockey's Futures' designation for prospects. By these rules, Chiarot qualifies as a prospect. We have to pick some sort of rule for the list, and since this is HF, we're using HF's rules. I understand that many don't agree, but we've explained this about 5 times now - any further discussion on this point will be considered OT.

Have no idea why this poll isn't public, thought it made all votes public by default. :dunno:

EDIT: Yep, I checked. 'Make all votes public' is the default selection for any poll you put up. What's going on!?

I'll probably go with Copp next time since he is likely going to play in the NHL next year whereas some of these other guys are far off or maybe never will. Him or Chiarot I think next.
