If the Yotes can get 3 points out of this b2b I'm fine with the outcome.

If they lose tonight, I will be joining the cliff jumpers.

MacMillan is your Klinkhammer from last year. Don't get to attach to MacMillan he is already slowing down. I would put him on my???? list

McMillan is also 4 years younger and played extremely similar game in Anaheim. I wouldn't be surprised if he can keep it up unlike Klinkhammer.

It's possible that he fizzles out once the initial call-up adrenaline wears off. Just like Klinkhammer. Still, with our PK as bad as it is, I'd keep him. Neither Klinkhammer nor Chipchura help in that department. McMillan does. I just like puck hounds. He's inarguably that. The only question mark is if he can do it consistently. Klinkhammer and Chipchura have already answered that question (and it's a 'NO'). I'd rather roll the dice on a "maybe so" than stick with the "definitely nots".

I know Chipchura is your homeboy. I like him, too. When he's at his peak. Unfortunately he's had more and more valleys and fewer and fewer peaks over the last two seasons. I'm ready to move on (even if he's most recently been more of a peak version of himself).

Agree, Klink and Chips have proven they are inconsistent players and who don't PK. Well, we don't have room for those guys!

Out:
Moss, Chips, Klink, Halpern

In:
Domi, Lessio, PK specialist who takes draws, PK specialist who can play wing

Then:
? /Ribs/Doan
Domi/Hanzal/Vrbata
Korpi/Vermette/Boedker
Lessio/PK center specialist/PK Specialist

OEL/Z
Yandle/Stone
Gormley/DeMo
Summers
(we all know that Summers will play a lot with injuries)

Schlemko should be gone

Crazy as it may sound, don't be surprised if Yotes buy-out Ribiero for $11M with a salary cap hit of <$2m per year. His apathy affects (and infects) the entire team. May well be worth a year of new Canadian TV money to sever ties.

There will be no buyouts or firings of any major staff or players. A straight $11m charge is not something these owners can stomach, nor should they have to.

McMillan had a much larger body of work than Klinkhammer did (90 games vs. 16 games) when we picked him up. I saw him play for Anaheim, and he was a speedy, relentless puck hound w/ good PK ability for them - *exactly* what he is providing for us now. Ducks HFers liked him too - they just didn't have room for him when w/ all their higher upside forward prospects in their pipeline.

Where's McMillan? He's already filling the "PK specialist who can play wing" boat.

Tippet said in his presser that it was "tight game" a "game of inches".

I have one question for coach Tippet: Why wasn't the Dallas - Washington game (where Dallas beat the Caps 5 - 0 IN Washington). Why wasn't that a "game of inches," a "tight, tight" game??

Too many excuses from this coach.

I did not hear nor read the coach's comments, but from what you've written, there is no excuse or apology from the coach that I see. This was exactly the typd of game he wants the team to play and had it not been for two bad bounces (hey they happen) the outcome would have been 2 pts. Yotes.

Not saying I like it - just telling it as I see it. In fact this type of thing is why I wanted Keenan.... of course he would have wore out his welcome by now. :)

Would not surprise me at all! May well be the best use of their money, this guys lazy play, and poor locker room report, makes him more of a liability than an asset.

I agree, even down to the final post clunker by Vermette! Team is snake bitten right now. Each new failure compounds itself in the minds and confidence of the players. Thank goodness the season is winding down, and if the bad luck continues they have a summer to repair it!
