Just some pre-game talk, starting with goaltending.

Looking at the Maple Leafs goaltending situation now, they have seven goaltenders under contract this season, and only two of them are currently healthy. A good thing for Toronto, though, is that Jack Campbell, who hasn’t played since March 8th, is now day-to-day. He could return to the Maple Leafs lineup at any day.

Mrazek - Groin
Campbell - Ribs
Scott - Groin?
Woll - Shoulder
Hutton - Hasn't played since October, and in "injury recovery" no idea what is wrong.

+Petruzzelli is ill, not on a NHL contract anyway.

Which just leaves us with Kallgren, and Hutchinson for now.

The team has the day off today, so we won't have updates on either Holl, or Lyubushkin, until Thursday (game day)

""

Hopefully they are both good to go though.

I'm glad this is the game that follows the Boston game. This one felt a lot bigger than it did prior to the Bruins game.

An emotional let down was surely coming had we been playing another also ran. The emotion may be muted somewhat because of Boston, but they should have no problem getting up for this one.

Last time they met it was the greatest victory in Jet franchise history.
They are going to be motivated to relive that dream night while the Leafs will be on a bit of a let down after beating two really good teams and now facing one of the bottom barrel teams.

Jet fans will shirley put their teeth in and maybe even bathe before this one, so they'll be shined up for what could be the second greatest night of their lives. Nothing will ever top that December night. Rumour has it the Manitoba government is having Canada Post create a stamp to commemorate that night.

Jets will be on the back end of a back to back. Some players in Covid protocol (Kyle Connor and defenceman Nate Schmidt) Comrie will be playing against us (Hellebuyck tonight against Buffalo.)
Comrie is on a 5 game winning streak and has yet to give up more than 3 goals a game.

Remember when the Jets were good? Poor Schiefele. So little to get excited about anymore.

Those subtitles are hysterical... "Have fun and be responsible." Riiiiiiiight. That's what Stanley said.

Hopefully the team plays a complete game tomorrow night. Kallgren will need all the help with all the offensive fire power Winnipeg has.
