Willy was awesome.

He's only going to get better in the playoffs from here. The points are nice but his effort and battle in the tough areas showed a lot about his growth.

Marner twirling around like a fool made Willy look even better.

I love that Nylander didn't give the media an easy excuse to say to trade him all summer long. Dude stepped up in a big way, and aside from spezza/Campbell he really looked like one of the few players that cared. Goals in 5 of the 7 games. Lead the team in scoring without top pp minutes and playing with a mix of different players.

This is what you need players to do in the face of adversity. Not whatever the hell Marner and Matthews did.
