Blaming the goaltender is the pinnacle of non-accountability. Bernier's and Reimer's numbers are similar in this slump, and points to how poor the team plays in front of him. Are people not seeing all the breakaways and 2 on 1's? Or how our D-corps can't seem to box out anybody, and only add to the screens? Or how they leave players like Steve Stamkos unattended? Or how they make line changes before chipping the puck in the other end, resulting in turnovers and odd-man rushes? How our forwards and D-men don't seem to get the concept of getting the puck out of the zone when they have a chance, hoping for a breakout pass instead? How the wingers can't chip the puck past the opposing D in our end? Or how the system the Leafs use has been figured out by every other team in the league but the coaching staff doesn't adjust? How our D pinches and get no support, and they pinch when they don't need to? Reimer is the least of our worries.

Reimer is part of the problem. He's a bad goalie on a bad defensive team. The players don't help him out and he doesn't help the team out. Admitting to that would be accountability.
