Are you ****ing kidding me?

He goes on a great streak against some of the best teams in the league positive for almost all games and tonight he only deserved only one of the minuses(Mainly terrible defense by Cowen) yet he should sit!?

LMAO. Chip u should be embarrassed big time, wow.

Karlsson has been terrific along the boards lately too btw. I can't believe what i'm reading.

Oh please...you cant put that goal on Cowen. Cowen forced his man to an area where he couldnt do anything. Karlsson completely failed to cover his man.

Karlsson hasnt been great this year, but he is still easily our best player.

You mean 6'5 hayes getting infront of Karlsson in last second to deflect it in from a foot away?

He made some giveaways but he was a star relative to the rest of the team, how the hell anyone blames him for tonight is beyond me.

His game was lacking effort tonight. You could tell he wasn't giving it all. Obviously he shouldn't be scratched but I can't believe the minutes he logs. It's almost surprising that he is able to skate up and down the ice the way he does in some games with how much ice time he is given. But in games like tonight against florida where you can tell he is off, he should be playing closer to 20 minutes. We are in desperate need of a solid number 2. The entire team was bad tonight aside from Anderson though.

Also, do the snesators lead the league in amount of times they have faced an opponents backup goalie?

I see you say that but I looked again at the first game against St-Louis after I commented the other day and, yes he did finish + but I have personally NEVER in my life seen as much giveaways by a single player in a game. If we didn't have such extraordinary goaltending, Karlsson would be pointed definately. Of course he has a league leading 35-40? Giveaways now and probably looking be the the incontested winner in that departement until the end of the season but I may be the only one here seeing the turnovers and the lack of effort defensively?

He looks like he doesn't care sometimes and it's hard to see that from a captain.

If you're only looking at the offensive side only of his game, then yes, he has been like usual which is perfect. But look at the defensive side and try to evaluate the plays that he makes every game and it's mind numbing to see him do so many mistakes. You can definately make excuses that he plays with weaker Dmen than him, or that he plays a lot or whatever but it still doesn't explain the way he, pas an individual has been playing.

Honestly, and I mean honestly, I am a Sens fan and I love Karlsson but he hurts this team a lot since last year( but he also brings a lot which is why it's hard to evaluate). And if you really want to see what I mean go take a look at the first Sens-Blues game. He made good plays towards the end, but man the good didn't outweigh the bad I tell you!

it is "worse." I think some sort of wielding of the English Language should first be attained before being able to criticize.

It is pathetic really how every one jumps on Karlsson after one bad game. Lets talk about Legwand, a veteran who has really basically done F all and made some very stupid, noticeably lazy plays.

Sorry dude, I'm French. I'd like to have an argument with you in French but I doubt that you can speak it, even less write it. By the way, the word language doesn't need a capital letter.

Also really cheap going after someones writing when you can easily understand whats being said. Classless.

The whole team was bad tonight. Karlsson as our captain and best player is the gold standard. He's had some questionable games this year and when he is off his game or seems to be showing little effort I think it is fair for the fans to critique his play. This does not mean that everyone who criticizes him, hates him and wishes to see him fail. We would all like to see the team win. The entire team needs to be better and Karlsson first and foremost because we all know what he's capable of so it's incredibly easy to notice when he is having an off night.

I agree with this, he lacked the effort you would normally expect from Karlsson. He probably was completely worn out after excellent display against STL just 48 hours prior, playing so much.

We need Methot back badly. With that being said, Karlsson wasn't one of the negatives tonight at all and if he was, he'd be the last problem yet for some reason this thread is bumped up after a month of inactivity when Karlsson was playing great hockey.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Karlsson "needs to adjust"??? So Karlsson can play better if only he adjusts to the fact that his LD partner is without skill and without the ability to generate breakout passes and offense? And your solution to the fact that opposing teams stack the ice on his side is to "use the forwards and the goalie"????? I hope to god you're ****ing kidding because this post is beyond ridiculous.

Why don't you go take a look at the points produced by all the defensemen who play on the left side and tell me that there is a single player who has been adequate in their role? Better yet watch the games and tell me that Karlsson has any help on the ice from his partner.

Brian Leetch used to play with Jeff Beukeboom. Boom Boom wasn't the best puck handler and skater but they both worked together as a cohesive unit. Karlsson needs to adjust to several things this season: his captaincy, a bunch of different partners and the fact his skating will never be similar to his Norris season. At the moment he is a powerplay spcialist and will be zoned on intensely by other teams when he has the puck.

He really does have to adjust, because the old tricks are not working anymore.
