Why do you think the Flyers have such a hard time beating the Rangers?

The Rangers are a better team, but also note this

until you change the source of the problem you will not change the result of the problem.

alot of the players that were on last years team are on this year's teams.

the goalies even though we changed have also had poor success against rangers so the goalie problem hasn't changed.

Mason has been outstanding against the Rangers since he came here. His SV% against them is .936.

4/6/13 - Win, .950

10/24/13 - Win, .968
3/1/14 - Win, .943
3/26/14 - Loss, .897

4/25/14 - Win, .974
4/27/14 - Loss, .857
4/29/14 - Win, .944
4/30/14 - Loss, .939

11/19/14 - Loss, .941
11/28/14 - Loss, .875
2/28/15 - Win, .944

Remember that time last year when he let in a goal from the red line that didn't count?

I would not have guessed Mason was 6-5 against the Rangers since he arrived here.

Why do the Rangers struggle to beat the Flyers unless Bryz or Emery are in net?

The Rangers are good but they're oddly unclutch. The Flyers didn't even play that well in the playoff series and still took it to 7 games. They really just got to push the physicality against them.

I'd bet my leg that the Flyers win that playoff series if Mason was in net for all seven games instead of Emery.

Go watch the highlights of the first couple of games and count how many times they scored by exploiting his complete and utter lack of lateral mobility.

They might have won, but then you'd be counting on Mason to basically steal the series, which I don't think is fair even considering how well he played. The Flyers scored 1 goal in each of the games they lost with Emery in net, and Emery was a key reason why they won game 2. The Rangers were better and they played better. They deserved it.

They are unclutch. The franchise that in the last three years came back from trailing 3-1 (two OT wins against Washington in those crucial games even) twice and 3-2 once, as well as made the Conference Finals three times in the last four years, is unclutch. OK then.

You don't play in 3/4 Conference Finals and a Cup Final by being unclutch.
