And the sports media in Pittsburgh ****ing LOVES baseball. It's January, I'm driving home from work, and the Fan is talking about the Pirates ****ing pitching rotation. It's year round coverage.

I think that's just the station/show. Isn't that station affiliated with the Pirates?
Mark Madden has good hockey coverage. And the morning talk shows seem to mix in a good amount of hockey talk during the playoffs.

In terms of the topic at hand, many of my co workers talk about the Pens daily, especially during the playoffs. Pirates talk is much less, but I expect it to pick up once the Pens are out of the playoffs. Also, it's probably not fair to compare Pens playoffs to Pirates reg season.
