Why are we bringing KK into this discussion?
Compher is a 28-year old UFA - what he makes this summer has nothing to do with KK’s contract.

I think you misunderstood - he said “who needs a center really bad” aka who lacks centers and would look at giving JTC lots of money not “he’s a really bad center”.

Where did i say that? I said someone will overpay for him. Teams do that in FA, even more so when he is the best center available
Although 3 posts down from the post you quoted originally, I said i was just being silly.
He had a career year while having a lot of ice time with Mikko and Val. He was abysmal after the trade deadline and Avs should just let him go even if he takes a pay cut.
He’s always been really streaky and inconsistent and for as clutch as he’s been in the past, he was pretty much non-existent in that department this year.
I think a change of scenery is due for both sides.
