I think it will be Mason, but that could also be under the category of "Other/no #1" because it has yet to be seen if he can hang in Philly.

I can't believe anyone would still think Weber might come here. That ship has sailed.

I just don't see any reasonable way we convince Nashville to trade us Shea ****ing Weber.

We got mother ****ing Homer guiding this ship.

If he really wanted Weber at no expense spared, I'm positive he could get him.

He could have done that last year by trading Couturier, Schenn, and more if he really wanted to spare no expense. But Nashville just proved that having Weber doesn't make you a playoff team if you have no scoring punch or depth up front.

Ha! Guiding?! No! More like leading it to disarray!

If Holmgren were GM for any other team in the entire NHL, he would have been fired!

Again Snider is loyal to a fault!

i think it will be Mason. we seemed to have trouble with teams that forecheck well, and Mason's puckhandling skills help to diffuse that a bit in those few games we saw him. bryz never seemed comfortable handling the puck outside of the crease, and therefore could not do a good enough job stopping dump and chase zone entries.

Mason.

Halak could be a good backup ... but Emery too...

I'm trusting Mason with the good season ending he got.

My list in order of preference:

Reimer (prob not avail but by far my favorite guy)
Thomas on a 1 or 2 year deal
Emery up to 3 years
Hiller on a decent trade
Lu on a buyout- I love him way more than I did last year at this time
Halak on a cheap trade
Khubonen or Greiss
thats about it

I think it will be Mason until he falters by game 5, and then Boucher will come back, along with Leighton and those two will share duties the rest of the season.

Seems like Sabres fans are chomping at the bit to dump Ryan Miller on us, and they'd even be willing to relieve us of Sean Couturier and/or the 11th overall pick to do so.

Yeah, for a garbage goalie with one year left on his contract and who wants to play out west.... :shakehead
