Give it to Spain. Bernabeu should be done, Nou Mestalla should be done, Wanda is pretty new, Bilbao’s stadium is fairly new, Camp Nou is Camp Nou…. If there aren’t enough stadiums there than have it be a joint post job with Portugal.

The Soviets lost the 1990 World Cup to Italy, but other than that the Russians never bid for it before 2018.

Are you implying that it's only the 2018 & 2022 bid processes that were corrupt?
No but 2018 & 2022 have been the most glaring (especially the latter and their b.s. science fiction proposal that corrupt FIFA officials tried to act like would come to fruition).

Because the 2018 & 2022 bid process was rife with corruption and bribes. Russia won because of oligarch cash.
Oh Russia wins because of oligarchh money, but when England won the OG after being ruled the 3rd best bid, there was no bribe involved here.

EVERY SINGLE WC or OG has been given with bribes.

Yes, please explain how 2018 was more corrupt than the others.

While controversery has followed many World Cup/Euro bids...I believe it was the EXTENT and DEPTH of the corruption for those particular bids ( Russia & Qatar ) that made them stand out. As someone alluded to Russia was glaring, as evidenced by the details in this article:

Qatar was always a joke, promising a summer World Cup not impacting the European club season and "misted air conditioned stadiums" was always a eye rolling amount of bullshit.

Is it that the extent was greater for 2018, or simply that you've read more about the corruption there than you have the corruption that took place during our bid for 2006?

Possibly, as I was too young to really follow the events leading up to Germany's bid. Was it really that bad?
