Russia getting the Euros right after this war would be so hilariously UEFA. But London getting another final might just be even funnier.
Because the 2018 & 2022 bid process was rife with corruption and bribes. Russia won because of oligarch cash. Why robbed?
It was a travesty Russia never had it before.
Since geographically there is no such thing as europe, shouldn't we all be in that region?Over 70% of Russian land is in Asia. Should they not be in that region if you use, you know, geography?
Are you implying that it's only the 2018 & 2022 bid processes that were corrupt?Because the 2018 & 2022 bid process was rife with corruption and bribes. Russia won because of oligarch cash.
No but 2018 & 2022 have been the most glaring (especially the latter and their b.s. science fiction proposal that corrupt FIFA officials tried to act like would come to fruition). Are you implying that it's only the 2018 & 2022 bid processes that were corrupt?

Oh Russia wins because of oligarchh money, but when England won the OG after being ruled the 3rd best bid, there was no bribe involved here.Because the 2018 & 2022 bid process was rife with corruption and bribes. Russia won because of oligarch cash.
Yes, please explain how 2018 was more corrupt than the others. No but 2018 & 2022 have been the most glaring (especially the latter and their b.s. science fiction proposal that corrupt FIFA officials tried to act like would come to fruition).
How was it a travesty? Why robbed?
It was a travesty Russia never had it before.
That a big football country like Russia never got a major tournament? How was it a travesty?
While controversery has followed many World Cup/Euro bids...I believe it was the EXTENT and DEPTH of the corruption for those particular bids ( Russia & Qatar ) that made them stand out. As someone alluded to Russia was glaring, as evidenced by the details in this article:
U.S. Says FIFA Officials Were Bribed to Award World Cups to Russia and Qatar (Published 2020)
For nearly a decade, Russia and Qatar have been suspected of buying votes to win hosting rights for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups. On Monday, for the first time, the Department of Justice put things in black and white.www.nytimes.com
Qatar was always a joke, promising a summer World Cup not impacting the European club season and "misted air conditioned stadiums" was always a eye rolling amount of bullshit.
Possibly, as I was too young to really follow the events leading up to Germany's bid. Was it really that bad?Is it that the extent was greater for 2018, or simply that you've read more about the corruption there than you have the corruption that took place during our bid for 2006?
