You like jumping the end of game eh?

Good -

- Grigorenko with a pair. Hopefully the confidence carries over to his next bout in the press box.
- Getzlaf dominate.
- Lots and lots of hits. Foligno, Larsson, Tropp all with big totals. Zadorov with a couple of thunderous hits.

Bad -

- A lot.

Ugly -

- PKing remains a concern.
- Youth got served -- the kids had a hard time, particularly Zadorov in his own zone.
- Ott. Oh Captain? Where the **** are you? Stop reaching and ****ing skate dude.

Started from the bottom and the whole teams ****in' here /Chorus]

I kept my hopes up fists to pump
The peeps on the board signin blame we'd argue every game
Milla, he was tryin to impress for his home
Workin' that net, traffic from defenders on the roam
And ya know be callin' dem like, "Where ya at?
Loose winger all alone for the love of god get my backâ€
Milla, I just think it's funny how it goes [Started from the bottom we're still here]
Now I'm on the road, my families in the stands...
[Chorus]

The D will tell stories 'bout the man
Say I struggled with da Getz, wasn't covered, yeah, I don't doubt it
Staffad, I could give you an empty net you'd fan
There ain't really much offense that's poppin' makes me cuss
Staffad, your play reminds me of sick baby poo
Ima sick a watchin you, gonna buy you out pay the fee
Staffad, just a reminder of a team
that made me drink the whole house clean, watchin this team reminds me...
[Chorus]

Yo new Grigas, Griga two goals rollin fat
Findin' icetime friend, where your linemates at?
John Scott riding press box, Kaleta gone like that.
Your performance stayed the same, but tonight you changed it
Yo new Grigas, Griga two goals rollin fat
Findin' icetime friend, where your linemates at?
John Scott riding press box, Kaleta gone like that.
Your performance tonight wasn't lame but this damn team...
[Chorus]

Rolston is basically a ****tier version of Lindy Ruff. Rewards guys for "trying hard" despite the fact that they're fringe players. Can't stand him.

Good:
Grigorenko
I liked Myers play for the most part
Zadorov can HIT
Larsson/Girgs/Flynn line strong again
Foligno and Larsson in the dot
Suppose I should mention Getzlaf

Bad:
Zadorov seemed to struggle with his defensive positioning
Pysyk seemed to struggle in the first....think he might have gotten a bit better as the night progressed

Ugly:
Ott in particular was bad, but the whole OFT line was downright stinky in the first period
The PK (Ott, I'm looking at you here....)
The first period as a whole

G:
Grigorenko
Ducks announcers hospitality
Zadarov's hits and confidence in himself
Tropp's hits
Myers play overall
Team hitting

B:
so much, so much
Rolston (yes, I'm finally boarding the anti-Rolston camp bus)

U:
almost everything that wasn't bad
Our upcoming UFA's will not have much trade value if we keep playing like this

I honestly think Rolston is in place by design. Ted Black & Co. aren't stupid...and they've made it quite clear how much they recognize how drafting high is the best way to build a great team. They know they could've interviewed a bunch of coaching candidates, but stopped at Rolston. Ask yourself "why?".

I honestly don't believe it's because they thought he would win a lot of games. I think they believed he would be an asset in developing young players while they're actually IN the NHL. What we're witnessing is a live-action training camp, with camp leader Rolston at the helm. Wins be damned.

Rolston is Regier's patsy and also gives them the best chance to draft at the top of the draft this year and possibly next (hell, he need not be here that long to start next season to put them behind the proverbial 8-ball).

One downside... I used to be able to run to an OHL game when I need a quality puck fix. CR provides nothing but an uncomfortable chair and my laptop.

I mean, you can see the development of the teens from game 1 until now. Heck, our young guys are probably our best players over the course of the season so far. I mean aside from Ehrhoff and Miller....who over 25 has been even passable? First name that pops to mind is McCormick....and that's bad. Very bad.

In one respect though, RR is kind of doing his job....the kids are looking better.

On the other hand......wow....the compete level just isn't there some nights.....

Really like Grigs on the wing and the freedom it gives him offensively. I hope dumb dumb leaves him there.

Good:
Grigorenko scoring two, please play hungry all the time, this team needs your skill. Also, his second goal was vintage of his Quebec days.
Cody McCormick is slowly warranting another contract. He is awesome and he could wear an A
The good things the youngsters do
Zadorov is a man child
Duff/Dunleavy/May - Impressed with them all
Enroth with the shutout
Still on pace for our choice at #1
Anaheim and Bruceeeeee

Bad:
The bad things the youngsters do
Risto's current footspeed
MEH getting benched - logic please? kumpeet .....
Ott not getting sat
Rob Ray's commentary
Miller's sunburn

Ugly:
Ron Rolston. I agree Ruff needed to go but the fact that we didn't interview candidates is horrible. I want some emotion out of Rolston
Moulson's personal countdown until he is moved
We need elite talent so bad / is it June yet?
WGR's fans calling in tomorrow and complaints

I think that's the best place for him for the time being.

At first I didn't think Grigo would work on the wing. Yep, I'm dead wrong there. Leave him on the wing for a while. Many young centers have needed time on the wing to develop, and I think Grigorenko is no different.

I think the defensive assignments were overwhelming him at center....he seemed too timid to make a defensive mistake to really assert himself. Now that he seems less worried about defense (NOT saying he's not playing well defensively, mind), he seems more engaged on both ends.

As I mentioned earlier, Rolston is not here to win games. He really isn't. He's here to help develop young talent. Management will NEVER come out and explicitly say they're setting up for a major tank. They are likely hoping most fans quietly get it and sit tight for a couple seasons.
