I just want to see some kind of surprise again, or at least a close match. The last one we ha was Shinkaruk/Corrado for #2, where we were all a little surprised to see Hunter win.

I want to see, like, Ludwig Blomstrand get a groundswell of support and win 7 or something.

Schroeder, as much as I like Lack, plenty of AHL goalies have looked promising but have failed to establish themselves as solid number one goalies. IMO Schroeder already showed that he had the ability to be a regular top 9 NHL forward last year(especially when he was playing with some decent players). His AHL numbers are pretty decent. His two-way game has improved after it was once considered a weakness, sure he's small but I thought he showed a willingness to play a two-way game and also battle along the boards. I still would not totally be against a speed third line, while Kesler's line handled as other teams top lines. I think Schroeder could take a nice step forward this season in that type of a role. This season is huge for him to say the least.

Didn't even realize Schroeder was on the list...picked him and he should be a few spots higher IMO.

Schroeder... Lack isn't a prospect to me :sarcasm:

This, but without the sarcasm. Lack shouldn't be on this list anymore according to Hockey's Future criteria. He's graduated to AHL veteran goaltender. He's a bit of a victim of circumstance though, having the Schneider/Luongo logjam ahead of him in the depth chart. If this had been dealt with earlier, and he hadn't gotten injured, he should have been in the Canucks line-up the last couple of seasons.

I went with Schroeder because I think he still has tonnes of skill, he just needs to put it all together and compete hard. To stick in this line-up long-term, he has to earn a top 6 spot, either by taking 2C and moving Kesler to the wing, or by moving to the wing himself.

Schroeder for me, since I think he still has one more year to prove himself thanks to Gillis' inability to get us a 3C from the UFA market.

I Agree about Lack and went with him the 25 year old prospect.

This.

Schroeder played over 50% of our season last year...he's graduated. Lack is still a prospect because he has never played even a single NHL regular season game.

That is the stupidest reasoning, especially when we have HF standards to g0 by.

If you believe this, why do "rookies" need to be under 160 games in your fantasy league?

Seem to counter oppose yourself.

Went with Schroeder. He has the highest upside of the players left and looks all but assured to play in the NHL in some capacity or another.

I'm guessing the next poll goes to Lack and then things start to get interesting.

(I have my doubts about whether Lack belongs here or not, nevermind his quality as a prospect, but I'm going to be a big boy and shut the hell up about it - hopefully he gets up on the board after Schroeder and we can begin the healing process.)
