So no love for Sauve here eh? I thought he was added at 20 or so, and thought "well late addition, he'll catch on fast enough".

Whoops, my mistake:laugh:

Who cares ?? This is really stupid.

I think the team has 25 prospects they could legitimately rank. Beyond that though, there seems little point. Up to 25 seems ok for this group.

If Kenins is 25th, then that's a decent crop. Looking at that list, I think 11 of the 25 make it as legit NHLers. Might be optimistic, but that's my guess.

No point to go beyond 25? Why not? What makes the player ranked 23 or 24 more valid than the players ranked 26 and 27?

You could probably continue ranking them until there's a point where a prospect fails to stand out from the pack. Looks like Kenins has #25, and Sauve is likely for #26, so might as well keep going. Or was there other more important business to deal with this week?

So you can say without a doubt that the players ranked 20~25 have definite upsides compared to the players who will be ranked 25~30? Why didn't we just stop the list at 10?

These ranking do not mean anything. If we stop at 25 or stop at 30 makes no difference to this hockey team or the prospects themselves. It is simply something to do during the slow hockey news summer. If we have prospects to rank we may as well rank them. Those that think we should stop at 25 can stop voting in the polls. Everyone is happy.

Kenins and Liberati are the only ones left that aren't busts or close to being considered busts. Past 25 is a waste.

Ideally I'd like to rank as many as we can. Everyonce in a while there is that one player who seems like who just won't make it but suprises everyone. So it's nice to see a prospect ranked like 27th one year be in the top 10 the next. Obviously its unlikely but i'd like to have them ranked for that reason.

If it makes you guys feel any better, the guys who don't make it into the top 25 will be put into the honorable mentions list. Also, people have been losing interest since #20 and I keep on forgetting to put the next one up.

How about we stop at 25 and do a 'Post your list vs. the Board Consensus list' thread instead of continuing? I think that would be a lot more fun than ranking the dregs of the Canucks prospect pool.

Yeah, after this thread I plan on making a "HF Vancouver Top 25 Prospects List" thread, and I'll leave the remaining guys in honorable mentions for everyone to finish themselves.
