Being constantly injured is just as bad for the team. Michael Owen scored at a prolific rate at Newcastle, but was still a flop there since he was made out of glass.

His declination in play along, severe injury history and absurd contract demands jettisoned his way outta town.

You must've done something real bad as a captain to have been traded mid-season. Especially on a playoff team.

Derek Stepan has 5 goals and 10 assists in 13 games since the Olympic break. That is the player the Rangers need. That is how Stepan played at the end of last season.

OTOH,Richards has 1 goal and 3 assists in those same 13 games. 16-30-46 in 72 games. 18-34-52 over 82 games(pro-rated). He scored in the March 2 game against Boston. Three weeks ago today. 2 assists in the last 10 games. Will Richards get the 2 goals and 4 assists in the remaining 10 games to keep up with his pace?

I expected Stepan to play this way for most if not all of the season. Richards shouldn't even be on the team. No expectations for him. Amnesty him in June.

I like to think that by next year JT Miller will be more than ready to take the 3rd line center spot that Richards currently holds.

I don't hate him because he's a Ranger, he didn't hurt them in any way so far. To the Bolts? He absolutely is a terrible leader for requesting a trade in the midst of a season for team that was having great success up until that point.
