I can't see any scenario where Kulikov and Perreault are on this team next season.

Too bad the NHL has a hard cap and not like the NBA where you can go over the cap to sign your own players. It's not like the Jets are loading up on UFA's year after year. All of their big money players will be draft picks or guys who are nearing a decade in the organization.

Who do we give away this time to dump Kulikov’s salary? :(

I think there is a difference between actually being expendable vs expendable for cap reasons. Lemieux and Petan would make little to no dent for cap savings.

Would be:

Myers
Kulikov
Perreault
Sadly...Little.. though no replacement thus far. Finger crossed we draft a 2C pronto.

People will say Roslovic but he is not anywhere near 2C yet defensivelt.

Right now Little is great value for 5mil.

Keyword, right now. That contract will become an albatross
It's confusing. You talk about how Little is not good value long term, but, you also mention how Rosie isn't ready yet. So one is projecting long term and one is looking at the current situation. The current situation IMO is Little is good value for 5 mil and not an albatross yet. When he takes a step back Rosie will be ready as he doesn't need to be ready for awhile. If Little takes a small step back you would think he still has enough value to be easily traded.
Rosie has shown that he can play good 200ft game in the A. He just needs experience and confidence to bring that to the NHL.

Little's percentage of an $83M cap (as predicted today by Bettman for next season) is equivalent to $3.8M under the $60M cap in 2012-13. He'll be making relatively less than Jokinen ($4.5M) and Antropov ($4.06M) were then.

When you put it that way it's not so bad. If theres gonna be wasted money at least it's in a veteran guy that can contribute down the lineup.
